There are many who think that graphologists have an innate gift of intuitive understanding that is like second nature. And that they only have to look at a page of handwriting to know everything about a writer’s inner life.
But there’s a lot more to understanding handwriting. It really isn’t magic.
Your handwriting is an expression of your real self. That is why when you write a letter or an article by hand it is more personal. It comes from an emotional place inside and it this place that a graphologist tries to access.
With practice, the graphologist develops a certain sensitivity to handwriting and is able to see emotions such as anger, depression, excitement, enthusiasm and more.
However, there is no way to acquire that intuitive understanding of handwriting without a thorough knowledge of the principles of graphology first.
Unfortunately it can only come through work and practice and anyone who claims to have an intuitive understanding of graphology without the academic knowledge to support it is mistaken.
The experienced graphologist who can understand the real meaning of a piece of handwriting at a glance has earned his or her colours after hard work and dedication.
That real intuitive quality that seems like second nature only comes with time and experience. And as you know, anything worthwhile takes effort.
